My State on Sunday 37/52

Oops it’s late.

Weekly Rating: 8/10

Highlight: Being sent an email, out of the blue, declaring the bar manager at Yager had found my bag in his office and asking if I would like it back.

Lowlight: Knowing that there is very little progress, it’s just a matter of waiting and watching.

Felt: straight outta Compton, kinda gangsta

Want: To curl up next to a fire, I am strongly considering hibernating

Need: To get back to the gym and work my knee, it is starting to stiffen up.

Miss: Music, I’ve got so much to listen to

Learnt: When you sober up travelling from one event to another, this is not in fact sobering up

Highlight: Hanging out with friends

Lowlight: Getting an ear infection and infection in my scar on the opposite side.

Felt: Tired

Heard: Trouble Will Find Me by The National, All the Little Lights by Passenger, The Lumineers by The Lumineers, Magna Carta Holy Grail by Jay-Z

Read: Soccernomics by Simon Kuper

Visited: Work, Doctors, Pub, Bianco 43, Udderbelly Festival, Greenwich Picturehouse

Want: To go on the Thames Clipper.

Need: To stop getting ill, but with a blood condition that created ‘the boy in a bubble’. I doubt that will happen anytime soon.

Miss: Turning my brain off and having a good nights sleep

Learnt: Britain can win stuff

My State on Sunday 20/52

Weekly Rating: 7/10

Highlight: Getting signed off work for 3 weeks

Lowlight: having a terrible night’s sleep after my operation. Snoring can be outrageously loud on a hospital ward

Felt: Swollen, it’s not as bad as it has been after previous operations but I still look like Hey Arnold

Watched: Veep, New Girl, Modern Family, The Big Bang Theory, Grey’s Anatomy and Twilight Breaking Dawn Part Two, who this film is bad, that is weirdest looking kid I have ever seen. Oh and Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, WOW is the only word to describe it.

Heard: Lots and lots of podcasts

Read: Who Cares Wins by David Jones and How to Be a Woman by Caitlin Moran

Visited: Work, Pub, Doctors, Hospital.

Want: to make some decisions on which TV series I want to watch while I recover, there is so much choice. I’m thinking The Wire, Mad Men, The Pacific and The Kennedys

Need: to relax and recover, it is time to watch films and TV series, read books and eat soft food.

Miss: having to get on my train every morning and stand for between twenty-eight minutes and two hours travelling to work. NHAWTT

Learnt: My legs are too long for hospital beds and Caitlin Moran’s chapter on starting her period was pretty disgusting and slightly insightful

My State on Sunday 5/52

Week 5 

Weekly Rating: 6/10

Highlight: catching up with Friends.

Lowlight: Sunday service on South Eastern Trains.

Felt: Frustrated and Pain, my knee rehab is really getting old.

Watched: Detachment, a good Adrian Brody film, The Big Bang Theory, one of my favourite US TV shows, Six Nations and lots of NFL programmes ahead of the Super Bowl, I love this time of the year.

Read: The Lost Symbol, I have finally fallen into this book and now I can’t put it down.

Visited: Doctors, Work, the Pub and the Launch Party for a friends project.

Want: My bike to arrive, it gets here tomorrow and I can’t wait.

Need: to be more patient with my knee.

Miss: Getting a seat on my train.

Learnt: A lot about American Football.

 

My State on Sunday 1/52

Well here goes, my State on Sunday will sum up my week, starting with the first week of 2013.

Weekly Rating: 8/10

Felt: Pain, my knee is still very painful after my operation and is becoming a real pain, I cant sleep comfortably or be comfortable at all really.

Watched: Having joined LoveFilm and Netflix last week I have been glued to the TV from under my duvet. Bullet Boy, After Sex, 50/50, the whole of the Pan Am series, The Big Bang Theory, Africa another amazing BBC wildlife programme and Mr Selfridge. Pan Am and 50/50 are very good and thoroughly recommended.

Read: The Lost Symbol and catching up on my pocket list, mainly articles on work, I love catching up on thoughts across the industry.

Visited: Doctors, Physios, Hairdressers and Friends

Want: I have been concentrating on trying to make my leg better, it’s not working and is very frustrating.

Need: Constant pain relief, see above.

Miss: Santa and the full house that Christmas brings.

Learnt: My friends are acecakes.
